Multi-Objective Harris Hawks Optimization Algorithm Based 2-Hop Routing Algorithm for CR-VANET

Vehicular Ad Hoc Network (VANET) emerges to ameliorate road accident, traffic congestion, and infotainment. Cognitive radio (CR) is integrated with VANET (termed as CR-VANET) deal the spectrum scarcity problems. For better data transmission, routing very important in a highly dynamic CR-VANET environment. Routing has several challenges due vehicles’ high-speed movements channel accessibility issues. This paper proposes 2-Hop algorithm based on Multi-Objective Harris Hawks Optimization (2HMO-HHO) that chooses optimal forwarders between source destination vehicles. Selecting 2-hops instead of multiple hops or entire route increases selected route’s stability assures successful transmission. The simulations performed OMNeT++ SUMO show proposed achieves promising results throughput, delay, packet delivery ratio, loss rate communication overhead.
